Today I’m sharing my first card from Simon Says Stamp card kit of August. This kit is so beautiful and you can even buy the dies, isn’t it wonderful to have the matching dies for this card kit?
I started stamping in Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock 80 lbs. and heat embossed my imagine with Gold Peach embossing powder from Altenew. After this, I colored the flowers and the jar with Copic Sketch markers. I used the following colors: R81, R83, R85, B000, B12, B14, G40, G85, YG61, YG63 and 0. Next, I fuzzy cut the jar with the flowers and added some natural twine around the top of the jar, for a more rustic look.
For my background, I cut an A2 panel from one of the Bobunny Early Bird patterned papers included in the kit. Then, I cut another panel from a navy cardstock and trimmed the edges to a smaller size. I used a round die on top of the navy panel and run it through my Sizzix BigKick cutting machine. In addition, I glued this panel on top of the pattern paper, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Peach embossing powder in the white round space.
Finally, I placed the colored jar with flowers next to the sentiment and glued this panel onto a white A2 card base. Lastly, I heat embossed some hearts from the stamp set and added some Nuvo Bubblegum Blush crystal drops.
I love the contrast between this embossing powder against the navy cardstock and the rustic look of the jar with the natural twine.
I hope you liked this card and please enjoy your Simon Says Stamp card kit from August.
