Watercolor Birthday Card | Trinity Stamps

This is my second design for this very special occasion, Taniesa’s birthday! And I thought a cupcake would be a perfect match for this card.

For this card, I’m using the Bouquet of Hope from Trinity Stamps. I decided to use watercolors for this card and I cut out an A2 watercolor paper from Canson Watercolor 130 lb. and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder from Hero Arts.

Then, I started painting with Reeves watercolors. I really like the creaminess of these paintings. Moving on to the following step, I wanted the edges of my card to have a bit of color so I applied Antique Linen Distress Ink to every edge.

After this, I stamped the sentiment from Studio Katia Birthday Greetings stamp with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed. Before, placing it into a lilac base cardstock, I trimmed a little bit every edge of the card, added some foam to the back for some dimension and centered it on the card base. Finally, I added some purples and gold sequins that came in the Hero Arts kit from August.

I really hope you liked this watercolor card that was made with lots of of love. I want to mention, that I really like the texture of this Canson watercolor paper, that’s why I use it a lot. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading.
